Supergirl then tells Kal-El after the battle that she knows the probe and Brianiac, it had visited Krypton before it was destroyed and it took the city of Kandor. Her fears that this will happen to Earth, specifically to Metropolis, causes Superman to venture into space to find and confront Brainiac before he comes to Earth. As expected, Brainiac does arrive on Earth, many battle take place, and finally Superman is victorious.
