We have all seen an example of the cliché ridden sports film. They range from being pretty great i.e ROCKY or REMEMBER THE TITANS to pretty terrible i.e. ROCKY 4&5. They are all pretty much the same, with a person or team overcoming impossible odds to shock the world and attempt to inspire you. The difference between the good ones and the bad ones is usually how much we as the audience can get behind the protagonist(s). This is where WARRIOR really succeeds and places it itself among the best of this particular genre. (more…)
